Improving Life

Biography of a Business Man

One way we can all make our lives better is to gain financial independence. Some people do this by saving money. Some people do it by investing in the stock market and becoming wealthy. But some people start their own companies.

I have read many biographies of successful business people. I like this one best. A lot of "self made milionaires" come from wealthy families. They use their family connections to get good jobs and work business deals. Most of us don't have those opportunities. Here is the story of someone who climbed the corporate ladder before starting out on his own. But he came from a middle class family with no special advantages.

A major improvement in hospitality and air travel was sparked off by Nicholas Bredimus, who linked them to the computer software world to evolve something new. His career highlights include time-saving software, aircraft safety improvements, and he's even involved in designing high value homes. He brings true drive to any and all areas, too.

Taken note of how a number of significant advances in information technology have completely changed the face of hospitality and air travel as we knew them in recent years? Most responsible is New Jersey's own Nicholas Bredimus. This creative man has found work in a number of fields, from the designer home design market through the essentials of air safety and software programs to save manpower and time. No matter what his focus turns to, he will bring every last bit of his drive to it.

Glancing at Nicholas Bredimus' family tree you can easily predict he was a lock to rise to distinction. The clan can trace its roots as far back as the time of ancient Rome and proudly boasts a broad background. His maternal line came from Germany and Scotland. England and Luxembourg are the home of Bredimus' father's family, though during the 1800s his family would emigrate.

This passionate zeal held up following their arrival in America. Nicholas, who would grow up with his siblings, was born to a father employed as a design engineer and a mother who was employed as a practicing nurse. He settled for a time in Arizona, Texas, Kansas City and a place named Reston in Virginia.

What, you might ask, did Bredimus do to capitalize on his upbringing and studies? A series of high-powered posts were soon his, all working with major airlines. He became a Vice President with firms like Republic Airlines, Hughes Airwest, and Trans World Airlines (TWA). These accomplishments nothwithstanding, above all the airline industry has felt the need to be grateful for the innovations he has made in software design.

His insight into aircraft maintenance management computer programs, now commonplace throughout the airline business though initially created for US Airways, ultimately led to what is probably his most famous program. He designed many other pieces of software for the hotel and airline sectors in addition, including robotic software to deal with flight reservations, now in use at fifty or more businesses, to say nothing of the original room booking program on the PC in use in the hotel industry, first put into motion at over 700 hostelries.

He went on to produce an application by the name of QuikTix, an automated ticket sales network. He has also been appointed to quite a number of positions entirely outside of software design, it should be mentioned. Key posts with American Airlines and American Express followed, and in the biggest move of all he started up a company of his own in the early 1990s. Having withdrawn from the positions in which he first enjoyed fame, his skills are nonetheless still exercised daily. He's at work now advancing building design - mixing the needs of esthetics with true concern for our environment.
